OntoReason
provides a
comprehensive suite of public health terminology
services. Our core terminology database includes the CHI coding
systems, HL7 version 2 and version 3 vocabularies and the CDC PHIN VADS
value sets. These code systems and value sets have been analyzed,
structured, filtered and correlated within the OntoReason Public Health
Ontology and can be extracted to meet a specific customer’s
requirements. The OntoReason Ontology provides the most robust public
health terminology service on the market today.
The OntoReason Terminology and value sets can be delivered in XML or SQL formats. Additionally, our terminology services can be deployed with a comprehensive Authoring, Integration and Management software package that enables terminology services deployment via the HL7 Common Terminology Services (CTS) API. Applications can directly access the terminology services through the standard vocabulary CTS API. This tool suite provides local code system and code set authoring, change management support for processing periodic updates and version control. We publish quarterly updates to align our terminology services with the release cycle of included coding systems. Because of our extensive participation within the standards community, OntoReason ensures currency with national healthcare messaging and vocabulary standards. Our terminology services contract includes the submission of local codes to terminology authors, expanding standard code sets to meet user requirements. This significantly eases an organization’s transition burden from local code sets to standards based vocabularies. |
